Lilith Mahmud (UC Irvine) is a feminist anthropologist whose research has focused on elites, secrecy, power, gender and the Right. She is author of "The Brotherhood of Freemason Sisters: Gender, Secrecy and Fraternity in Italian Masonic Lodges" (U of Chicago Press, 2014), which won the William A. Douglass Prize in Europeanist Anthropology from the Society for the Anthropology of Europe.
