Limited loaner binoculars may be available for use during the walk. Take a leisurely walk through the garden to see and hear the numerous bird species that migrate through the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire. Beginning and experienced birders are welcome to help find birds in the garden. Our collaborative efforts usually produce a good variety of local birds, and we always have a great time. Despite the fact that our institutions sit within a single square mile, it can be difficult to connect with possible research collaborators across campuses and across disciplines. We are here to help! This semester we will host four Research Salons, each focusing on a different theme. Sign up for one or more salons.

Then, arrive to the facilitated mixer ready to engage with faculty and staff colleagues with an eye toward identifying possible research collaborations.

Colleagues from the library, foundation relations and sponsored programs will be on hand to field questions about possible funding opportunities and other resources to support budding collaborations. Happy hour refreshments will be provided.

The salons are co-sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning, Claremont DH, EnviroLab Asia, the Hive, the Library and the Office of Consortial Academic Collaboration. Please reach out to any of these cross-campus centers with questions or suggestions.
