    What is Spanish Encuentros Tables?

Every Friday Pitzer hosts jornaleros, or day laborers from Pomona for lunch. The workers help students by providing a forum to practice Spanish with native speakers while discussing contemporary issues surrounding immigration, including organizing, worker rights, activism and many other topics. Professor Calderón envisioned these encounters five year ago.
